Hello Everyone,
Just bought 1998 BMW 328i with manual transmission (205K miles ;)).
No history on the car so i'm trying to take problems one by one at the time.
First and most important problem I have now is putting in it in to the gear. When car is just idling I can shift in to any gear without any problems but if car is moving or I'm revving it up it makes a grinding noise before it engages. It goes in to the gear but makes this creepy noise... Sounds like when you not fully depress clutch pedal and trying to shift it in gear.

But the strange here is that it only does so when car is revved up or running. When its just idling I don't here this sound. Most of the time when I get it running I can shift to any gear except first one without any noises... Like if I put it in second gear and try to start moving that way it will be noiseless.
Any thoughts on this or may be someone have similar problem?
Thank you very much for all your input!

Sounds a lot like low or very nasty fluid. Do a flush and change with D4 ATF
