engine just shuts off.need help?

hey guys need help.. i have a 94 325i and the engine just started this problem. after running for like 10 min it will just shut off then will not turn on till about 1 minute later just cranks.. its not fuel cause it will start back up maybe sensor. any input thanks

So you're saying the engine is running just fine right? Just happens to turn off in 10 minutes? I can't imagine any sensor would have failed since you say it works fine besides the random shut off issue. It's probably fuel.

Try a stomp test to see if you can get any codes out of her

ok.. just figured it wasnt fuel cause once i get it going its fine.. it like it warms up then shuts off..

Ah, that's a little different. So the car shuts off when it's at operating temp. Does it still turn on and run after it shuts off WHILE it's at operating temperature? Or does it shut off immediately when the engine hits operating temperature? Elaborate on 10 minutes..

Alot of sensors get activated when the engine reaches operating temperature, but before that the DME runs the car on preset values.

ok car starts up cold when it reaches out of blue color on temp thats when it shuts off then try and crank doesnt turn over.. wait like a minute then turns on weird..

Try unplugging your MAF and running the car again, see if it shuts off with the MAF out
