Motorsport hardware is still very much alive and thriving. They offer full kits that end up being half the price than standalone studs and lugs from other vendors.

I'll throw another suggestion in for motorsport hardware studs. I've had them on my car for about a year or so now, zero complaints. Ryan answered ALL of my questions before I purchased them, and I'm glad I bought from him.

Cool, just bookmarked that page. This is something I wanted to get in future, but I don't know much about studs..
So, what's the size difference for? 12x1.5 vs 14x1.5 etc?
and what is the standard mm size? I'll need some longer ones because I plan on getting spacers also, maybe 10mm

I run H&R 70mm studs on my track rat, and have for quiet a while, I highly suggest them. HERE (http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E36-M3-S52_3.2l/Wheels/Bolts,_Studs,_-and-_Nuts/?salesrep=JRiggsbee&utm_source=bimmerforums&utm_medium=forum&utm_content=JRiggsbee&utm_campaign=postreply) is a link to them. The way H&R specs their studs 70mm allows for up to a 30mm spacer to be used if need.
ItsBlack -those are thread pitches, you'll want 12x1.5s.

What makes yours worth the premium over Motorsports Hardware? Motorsports Hardware makes some excellent studs and lugs and they're all cheaper...

That's thread pitch, not size. I believe you should be using 12x1.5

Never said they didn't make a great product. Just sharing what I've always used on my personal cars.

I'll throw my two cents at motorsport hardware too, simple install and quality parts.

I don't understand why this is causing you so much trouble, I did a search (Yahoo!, no less) on BMW LUG BOLT CONVERSION, and got this,
