Hi all,
I have a question I haven't been able to find an answer to. Can the stock e36 non-M calipers/brakes handle s50/s52 power?

Some other notes:
I have an '94 e36 325i and my calipers and rotors need rebuilt/replacing. However, I am planning an s50 swap in the next year or so. Can I keep it stock or replace it with the m brakes or equivalent.

Thanks,
Duncan

Cool, I will start the collection of a complete refresh of the stock parts. :D

I'd say it depends..If youre asking if they'll handle the power on the street, yeah, no issue..If youre going to take it to the occasional autocross or *cough* spirited canyon run, then I'd run upgraded pads and rotors (I run Performance Friction pads and Centrix slotted rotors) to keep the brakes from fading in more extreme conditions..As far as track use goes, the oppinions will go on for days as to what to do there...

Rynburns - that is exactly what I wanted to know, I was already planning on upgrading my pads and rotors with the refresh since this is a daily driver with spirit runs in mind. It's a convertible anyway.

Thank you all,
