My 20" softlines have some outside marks/scratches and a dent on the inside of one rear wheel so I'm going to get them fixed by a company this winter.

Has anyone painted their Softlines in a sligthly darker color than stock silver? I'm thinking something between silver and anthracite maybe? Any pics?

Also I have coilovers and with 10 mm spacers (which I would like to have) the front tires rub the inner fenders like crazy. I have the recommended 245/40/20 front and 275/35/20 rear on at the moment but I'm thinking of having 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 instead. Any pics of those tires installed on Softlines? I know the ride will be harsh but the looks are more important for me ;)

Look into Nogaro Silver. Very nice colour.

As for rubbing the inner fender, when running 20's they will always rub the inside, but that too only at full lock. Not a big deal IMO

Yeah, but with full lock I have 1 mm or less between the tire and the inner fender, imagine what it will be like when hitting a bump when turning. Also it don't have to have full lock for it to rub. I never ever had an issue with H&R stage 1 springs or even with the coilovers set a bit higher and only 5mm spacers.

There will be a hole in my fender soon, but luckily I will put it away for the winter now. Lower profile looks better too in my opinion.

Will look into that color, thanks.

Edit: I think Nogaro is a bit too dark for my taste, but Lachs silver might work. Found some pics of this Lachs silver E30 with Alpina wheels and the paint looks a bit darker than the wheels http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/mysport.jpg

I spray painted my E34's winter rims in lachssilber just to see how that colour looks, do you think it will work on the softlines?

I think it would work.

A bit darker, but not too dark.

Yes I think so too, and it will probably look better with "real" paint instead of that cheap spray can paint. The silver paint looks really good too but I want my car to be slightly different than other Alpina replicas :)

You've already achieved that with that interior ;)

True, but why stop there ;)
