Im new to the forum and a first time bmw owner. Living in Australia, I have recently purchased a 2007 e93 and noticed while driving that there was a rattling in the back on the driver's side and slight squeaking on the passenger side window. Are there any measures i can take to minimise or get rid of the noises.
Also i recently took it to a car wash and noticed there was some minor water leakage from the window seals between the the front and back windows.is that a common problem with e93's? I just wanted to know whether or not these problems are fixable or just a thing you have to live with when you have this particular car. Thanks guys:)

Suggest you read this first. It should address how to lube and protect the rubber seals and linkage for the E93.

In general slight leakage is not an issue or problem and most likely correctly by keeping the seals plyable.
Linkage needs love too. Our forum doesn't deal in depth with those issues thus the reason I suggest the site above.
Hope this helps some.

Hey fun2drive. Thank you for sending me the link regarding the E93 sealing/rubber care last time. After reading it, Im a bit confused and still have few questions to ask you as Im a bit particular abt my ride and always make sure to use the best products for it. I would really appreciate it if u can help me out with the following questions 1.Gummi pfledge and krytox which one is better? 2. Whts the best products for leather care and interior panels/plastics parts care? 3. In the link. It mentions to use 303 protect on the smonth rubber area on the top of windscreen.do i have to use 303 on that area or just using krytox/Gummi pledge should be fine? Is 303 aerospace protectant any good? Thank you very much for ur time.

Krytox is the best product that exists (that I know of) for rubber seals. A little goes a long way. Most don't get it because you have to order it and in fact the same is true with Gummi Pfledge. 303 are excellent products as well for vinyl but not leather and the other 303 for cloth as in cloth tops. Leather is tough one for me because there are better products out there than Mother's but that is what I use. I think if you revisit that site you can see at the beginning some suggestions that Kat has in regard to the leather products. Given that the leather has nano particales in it to reflect the light spectrum I am not certain which is best but Kat details her car often and has posted suggestions. If you need that site reference I can provide it but I think she can be found on that site and I think it is sticky'ed or in a general post under the E93 section.
Hope that helps...
