As I was driving on the interstate tonight my DSC and ABS lights came on for no apparent reason. I turned the car off for a couple hours while I had dinner, then when I got back on the road they came back on after about 2 mins of driving. Then after I stopped to get some gas, the Service Engine Soon light came on and stayed on for the remaining hour of my trip.

So right now, my dash is lit up with three yellow warning lights. I suspect that they are not anything serious, but does anyone have any idea what might be the cause of them coming on and in such close succession to one another.

Dying alternator. Did you ever get a trans program or dimmed headlights?

Have a multimeter? Check the voltage at idle. Or use the OBC locked function.

Interestingly enough, the lights started going off one at a time. As I was driving home from work yesterday, the ABS and DSC lights had gone off. Then this morning when I started the car to go to work all of the SES light was off and they all stayed off.

Not sure what caused them to illuminate in the first place and aside from the car fixing itself I don't know how they would have gone off by themselves. Chalk it up to ghosts in the machine I guess.

Same thing with my car, but my car goes into trans fail safe mode when the inside of my car gets over 85F. I have a new battery and alternator too.

I've had a very very similar experience. Its my rear wheel speed sensors. When its wet outside, something shorts out, and the lights come on. If I restart the car before the connection dries, it can trip an SES light. If I wait over night, it must dry out because everything is fine and the lights are off. Of course, unlock your cluster and check the voltage for battery/alt issues.

And if you're in Gainesville now and drove this afternoon in the monsoon, that could be it. I have a full diagnostic set up on my laptop if you ever want to pull codes.
