New member introduction, Hello

Hey guys, I have recently joined a few bmw forums, as i would like to buy a facelift e38 sometime in the future. i've been doing a bit of research and i think the e38 would be a great addition to the garage. Currently I drive a 1995 s500(hopefully thats ok:D), but I recently drove a friends 1995 e38 just before he sold it and the driving experience was great even though it had close to 180k miles and had some problems.

Welcome to the forum. There are a handful of decent BMW forums but none like this one, IMO. I checked a few out when I was new as well. But judge for yourself. Check out the Common Problems/DIY section at the top of the forum page. Also e38.org. There are a few members here selling their e38's. I would also recommend that as you find something you are interested in, post the link here and let the guys take a look and give you some advice.

Thank you. I also joined bimmerfest but I'm not sure how active the e38 section is there. I'm not sure of how long it will be until I purchase one, because although I have the cash to buy a 740, I would like a bit left over for maintenance and mods as well the s class. I'm in college right now and I have a possible internship lined up so hopefully I will make enough to buy one within the year. I don't want to rush any purchases and get stuck with a money pit. I plan on doing plenty more research before I find the perfect 7!
