Car did very well on the dyno, making more power than my Roadster did before the blower.

This was a Dyno Dynamics load bearing dyno, not a DynoJet.

Made 213.5whp and 240tq, very similar numbers to my Viggen when it was stock.


Was impressed to see the stock exhaust system is 3"

Nice numbers. And, that is very nice engineered exhaust. Flex pipe, 3", SS... Sucks for the modifying companies. Very little gains to be had.

6.5whp BUT 20lbs of tq to the wheels.

With the muffler bypass open, it also makes hp and tq carried to redline, much less fall off.

Sound clips suck on my phone, keeps cutting off. Image of the dyno coming(ended at 220whp/260tq).

I forget what magazine did the test but a few years ago they tested an aftermarket exhaust and it either gained or lost 1hp. It was crazy.

so all you did was add the bypass?

No, it's a catback exhaust that also has a bypass.

Terry at BMS said about 250 or so people have the stage 1 tune.

He posted a dyno showing 283whp on race gas, 264whp on pump.

those are damn good numbers! I am impressed with that engine!

Yeah, I heard that BMW heavily underrated that engine and that it was at ~270hp. Sounds like that's been confirmed. Excellent!
