Hey, why not? I think I'm going to get an open top utility trailer so I can haul stuff around. Also, there is so much interior room (iL FTW :)) you can fit alot of crap in there.

I put a king size oak bed on mine when I was hanging in Reno. Since I've had it home I've repainted. :D

Used to haul some pretty hilarious loads in my W124 wagon, before I got the truck. I have pictures somewhere if you want.

I think it'll be quite awhile before the e38 is beater in my stable:
86 Ford- Glorified Mule
87 Mercury- road trips
E38- daily
01 4runner: snow/woods/hoes.

Not a pretty sight. If they do a updated remake of the Grapes of Wrath, they may want to use your car. Hopefully your child isn't buried under all that wood. At least with the tint nobody will see a good looking E38 and not what's inside.

I picked up a 47 inch flat screen tv. Stuffed it into the back seat of my 740 iL. hauled it away from the truck depot where it was waiting to be delivered to my house. I don't need no stinking truck to deliver it to my house. I have an e38.

I threw a bike in the backseat of mine the other day. Luckily I had some old magazines and papers in the back to put under pedals, chain, etc..

Holds all my Hockey gear and sticks, without using the ski bag. the iL is the only car I have owned that fit my gear into the back seat with sticks included, and windows rolled up....

reminds me of the dodge(?) commercial where the guys are doing some high speed stuff, and the other guy asks, "whatcha got in that thing?"
"Oh, a few 2x4s, 6 bags of 'crete, a ladder, two bottles of booze and a hooker"!

(well not exactly the dialogue...)

Nah just part of my bed frame. Didn't want box springs makes the bed too high. Plywood wouldn't have made it home. 2x6 it is!

I have done 10ft PVC pipes sticking out the window in the rear. I have done several hundred lbs of bagged manure and water softener salt in the trunk too. The ski pass is nice for long things, I measured a maximum length object fitting of 11' 3" I think.

The e38 is not the main beater car in our family, the Jeep gets beater status as it is the one that tows the utility trailer. The e38 is the main winter beater for my parents, the Jeep gets to sleep most of the winter.
