2001 750 iL - The check engine light is on and the code says mass air flow sensor. I replaced both with new Bosch parts. Check engine light is back on. A BMW owner mentioned something about air hoses that collapse with age and will throw the MAFsensor code. Please help!!

Did you clear the codes and get the same code after driving? What are the current codes? Don't know about 'collapsing' hoses but I would certainly check for vacuum leaks. Check the DIY section at the top of the forum page. DIY is on a 740 but will give you a general idea of where you should be looking/spraying.

Thank you for the asistance. These Mass Flow Sensors appear to be genuine Bosch parts and have Bosch in raised plastic on the part.
There are two @3inch long and @1 inch dialmeter hoses connected to firm "y" hose just behind the radiator cowling on the passenger side. The number on the hose is BMW 1172 1704307e. I cannot find this part numberl. Any help?
Thank you,tnt229
