I removed Bilsteins made for A/C Schnitzer from my previous 535i. They were completely shot. Never seen shocks go so bad.

Then I reinstalled a new set of identical shocks :P

Just re-valved billy sports most likely. I had billy sports re-valved by bilstein in CA to match my coilover spring rates for my scca solo2 car, madea huge difference vs over the counter valving.

How much did that run per strut?

65 - 75 per corner. I provided corner weights and static spring rates.

I have a set with Vogtland springs and am overall happy with them. They are a little on the firm side with 16" wheel/tire combination but not harsh, noticeably firmer than stock. For me they would be too firm as a daily driver with bigger wheel/tire package based on the roads we have in the northwest. The car is an absolute dream at speed on the highway. I suspect they are slightly firmer than billie sports but can't prove it.

I'd buy them again FWIW.

Then you'd have to shoot yourself, or buy a hemorrhoid seating ring, if combined with the typical 18" combo.
