Auto trans problems......

So in my 93 525i touring automatic i have the economy mode and the M mode for you know "performance". Also when i would switch to 1,2,3 instead of just putting it in D or drive it would have an S on the dash when i would do so.

Now, when i try to switch it from economy to M or "performance", it just stays in economy. also when i switch it to 1,2,3 it no longer has the S on the dash next to what gear its in it stays in E.

So my problem is i only have economy mode. any helps

Swap it with the sunroof switch beforehand to test it out.

I can do this on mine as I have a 3 position mode switch and 3 pos sunroof switch. It still works with a 2 pos mode switch?
