From ECS Tuning which of these is the right one to get and I am looking at trying to get the 6000k look for my high beams.

Either:HB4/9006 Super White Halogen Bulb - Pair

or H7 Super White Halogen Bulb - Pair


I don't know which one to get even though both say they look like 6000k.

Most charts I've looked says my car takes a 9006, but the bulb in the headlight is an H7.
So before you order go look at the bulb yourself. Most will be printed with the type.

After being misinformed,i ordeed the wrong bulbs for the high beams... Mine were HB3, not H7 as i was informed...
Pull the cap off and pul the bulb out to make sure before u order

Agreed most manuals are incorrect. I believe they change half way thru the year and didn't tell anyone in documentation.

I had never heard of the Hb3 only 9006 and H7

Yeah don't know how to exactly check anyways. I think it would be H7 wouldn't it? Could someone check on their 01'?

Pull the bulb and look at the markings. They come out easily from the back. :)

You don't listen very well - the '01's have two different bulbs and the manual is wrong. You need to look at YOUR car - that is the one that matters.

Yeah just having trouble getting into the high beam ballast. How do I open it up?

there is no 'ballast' (like a Xenon) for the High beam...just pry the cover off from the bottom portion of the cover..towards the backside of the headlight (if that makes sense)

HB3 is 9005...after market companies sometimes make 9005/9006 bulbs with the same base to fit both applications...
