E38 neutral switch problem

hi i hav a 95 e38 i parked my car and went back to the car and the car wouldent start! i noticed the gear selecter on the dash is not tellin the gear and i moved it up and down wal holding the key on start and nothing so i took a screwdriver and started the car by engaugein the starter the car drove lik usual but dint hav the s mode or.it dint hav reverse and wen i turn the car bak off it wont start again u can hold down the key doesent even click can anyone tel me wats the issue?im thinking the nuetral safty switch went out

How do you engage the starter?

haha u actualy jus take a screwdriver to the possitive and it wil try to start the car but make sure u hav ur key on the on position

update wel i replaced the switch and the car does the same exact thing?!!wont start no sleection on dash replaced trans computer stil nothin! im guessing realy because al fuses ar good anyone kno the relay locations?
