Only if you have $70.00 you don't need. If that's the case just send it to me instead, I will send you the same effect in a plain brown envelope with no advertising.

I've only done a casual search around the web for "chips" for our cars, but I will tell you, the chips that merely tap into your IAT (Intake Air Temp) signal, are not worth the money, and rarely deliver as promised.
This one looked promising, I might take a shot on it just to see what's up: http://voloperformance.com/vp12-performance-ch12.html
Apparently it utilizes the OBD port to communicate with the ECM and make actual changes/improvements to the fuel and timing map, much more involved than simply hacking into an IAT signal
But it could also just be another useless chip :rolleyes

I am always leery of claims of huge performance gains without any parts changes.
Das Borgen (Rich) has talked about using the older intake with larger runners. What else should be done with that upgrade?

Wait for the engine to cool to room temp - then slowly, carefully remove radiator cap and drive an //M5 under the cap and replace!
Improvement achieved!:D

Your best bet is to go with DINAN tuning

Yeah that was me what a change. The car was able to out accelerate a 2011 or 2012 750il. The passenger said the speedometer was pinned and the car was still pulling but a yellow light appeared on the dash and the driver took his foot off the gas and it went away. And no special CAI was needed the car just has a K&N filter connected barely any oil on it. I cannot wait to dyno the car there is no way Dinan advertises the real whp increase it must be underrated.
There is no way I would bother with Stage 1 I would only start at stage 2 with the tranny stage1 software it is such a great combination. So worth $800
I also had a 135i that used Dinan software and some other bolt on mods ran
a 12.65 on runflat tires.

We raced down a Northern State Pkwy for a good 5 minutes and the 750il started the racing. And the 740 pulled and took the 750il anytime I hit the gas the tranny software is amazing. I don't care what people think on forums I just share my experiences. I have reason no to lie about the performance of the Dinan software. I actually parked my car tonight and the thing sounded terrible. BMW is bringing it in tomorrow and I will be the first to let everyone know what happened. I will say I had a problem with the 135i and I complained on the 1addicts forum and Steve Dinan called me him self and took care of everything so I am hoping for the same customer service and I called Dinan today and they seemed very willing to help so I will keep you posted.

Lucas red-band injectors, M60B40 intake manifold (if you have a TU engine this is an upgrade), fresh spark plugs, maybe run a lighter oil for less internal resistance? Not sure about that last one lol
