The E38 is a beautiful classic, the E65 is like mentioned... Fugly and very problematic. Get a 740il.

lol, you asked in the E38 forum..obviously MOST of us are going to say E38... the E65 was one of the first 7's that i didnt really like..but i have to admit that i am looking into a Alpina B7 for the near future...

the E38 has a classic looking body, as to where the E65 went the newer bubbly route..reminds me of a Lexus GS sometimes..

get your self a E38, you wont regret it (as long as you choose wisely, lol)

My old boss got an E65 as soon as they came out (he's one of those guys who's on every exotic and luxury car dealer's list, gets a phone call whenever something new or unusual and expensive comes in). Had to reboot the car 3 times the first 2 days. Was amazed that a company like BMW would ship such a piece of crap. Said it was exquisitely comfortable and luxurious furniture, because it sure as hell wasn't a device capable of transporting people and goods over a distance. When it ran it was spectacular. But $110K for a car that required you to have a towing company on speed dial...

Plus, it's ugly. :)

after googling....seems like this concern makes the valley pan gasket look like doing cabin filter on an E46
