Just a few of my favorites from the day. Jon and I got there early so I took most shots of our cars together. Had a great time and it was nice meeting everyone.

Thanks for the pictures Brandon! It was pleasure meeting you and so many other great folks.

I dont know why but, of all the cool cars there, I think that gray '02 and S54 swapped e30 touring were my favorite cars there.

Yea, we arrived late... We were also supposed to caravan with Brandon, but my group balked at getting up at 4:30. Getting 6 people to agree on what time to get up, leave, where to have breakfast, etc, etc is worse than hearding cats!

Here's my contribution;
My car, my buddy's Alpina B7 and his son's M3 (all white cars)

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7270/7873495378_fd6f93efbe_c.jpg

Next, we went to see Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in Bear run, PA.... It's an amazing feat of architecture that was way ahead of it's time.
This cantilever house was built over a waterfall in 1937! Can you believe that?

OK, enough of that... Back to the bimmers!

Interesting! It was totally worth the trip. There is a quaint little village just a few minutes from Fallingwater called Ohiopyle... lots to do there; biking, w/w rafting, hiking, awesome food. The pulled pork BBQ is out of this world. The drive home through the mountains of PA and WV was a lot of fun too. Occasionally, we would let the cars stretch their legs... Alpina would always win the contest though... Maybe next year. :rolleyes

Next year I'd really like to drive the M5 out there, crazy crazy thoughts.

They're two completely different ball games... I can't compare. CA has no rust and has way more exposure, so there are WAY more vintage cars and the turnout is much much higher. It would be really nice if the tents and things at the East show were set up in the middle of all the parking like the West show has so people don't miss anything (*cough* the e34's). The people-watching is completely different, as well. It was definitely fun comparing the two, but since the East show is still sort of a baby in comparison, I can't say one is better than the other. I really wanna try to make it out for both next year. The East show seemed to have doubled in size and organization compared to last year, though.

photos that nick took with my 60D... straight out of the camera.

the rest were kinda blurry and i think nick got something on the lens at one point.... lol. otherwise, it was a fun drive. none from the show because i had a puppy in one hand and i figured everyone else would get shots from the show that'd look identical.

I did the same and despite taking my dslr i didn't take a single pic and as it turns out neither did anyone else, oh well. :rofl

Looks like a great turnout and show. Glad everyone had fun and made it back safe and sound. Cory- Hopefully each year it will grow and grow just like the normal bimmerfest has. Seeing pictures, it sucks how the vendors are alittle bit different from normal to the east coast one as vendors further away don't want to travel. That is a funny picture of Jon...ps the turbo car looks amazing once again!

ahahahahhaah that'll happen when the drinks are all you can drink for $10.

For the amount of drinking we did on this trip I am pretty happy that I only spewed twice.

I guess I just can't handle my whiskey anymore...... maybe I will blame it on bad oysters :shifty

dude, there's like THOUSANDS of chicks in this one house, I'm telling you.

I want to know how throwing a breaker can cause 70,000 chickens to die in 15 minutes. or even an hour.

what, did the farmer rig the power to the cages, figuring he'd skip plucking and go straight from farm to fried?

errr well .... He'll only be a little boy once. Time flies... Especialy the older you get...

With beer and sing alongs he might be too young for a few more years.

See what week his B day falls on next year and Bimmerfest;)
