Still looking for a good vert!!
Cash ready to buy!
I keep missing out on good deals by a day or less :-(
I will be swapping all the internals from my Euro spec vert so it can have mechanical issues.
I just want a good clean body and well maintained.
Very motivated to find a good deal!
Thanks.

sounds like a cool project.
not really taken care of, but it popped up on my local CL the other day. Black interior too, pissed me off! Figured I was the only one in the area with that combo

Justin,
Thanks for the link.
Yeah this has been beat on pretty hard.
Makes me sad to see them in this kind of shape.
Not sure I'm interested in this as the body is probably beat up too and body work is the thing I was looking to avoid. I can do everything else but paint and as you know a good paint job to BMW specs is NOT cheap! ;-)
But thanks again for the info.
Send me your email and I'll send you a pic of my RHD euro spec 98 M3 vert.
Cheers.

Chris, what happened to all the ones i sent you? I thought you had found one already. Are you back over here, or still in europe?

Hey Jon,
I thought I had one in great condition with a blown motor.
Then the guy flaked at the last minute and stopped returning calls, etc.
Said he would get back to me when he wasn't so busy and then never got back to me. So the search starts again. I never heard back from you when I sent you those links to the saloons. Did you get them?
I'll be back in the US at the end of Sept.
Hope all is well with you!

That's weird I never got the email.
I did find out that I can get a car shipped to Baltimore for 1000 dollars.
I'm shipping my 98 RHD Euro spec M3 Estoril/Blk vert.
The state dept wouldn't ship it because it's not DOT legal even though I wasn't going to register it and just part it out.
If you really want one we need to move FAST as I'm setting up shipping in about two weeks. Do you want to pay a little more and get a nicer one or just get the saloon body and do your own mods?

Thanks Zen!
Unfortunately I'm set on finding an Estoril one.
I can do all the mechanical work myself but want to avoid have the entire car resprayed.
Thanks for looking for me though!
Cheers!

Thanks man.
Appreciate it.
No rush.
I'll be picking up my 93 vert as my daily driver.
Then once the 98 M3 arrives via ship from Europe I can start the swap.
So I'll have a couple months to find something.
I'm still on the fence with what to do with my 95 coupe.
I have a heavily modified supercharged 95 M3 coupe in storage in a hanger in AZ.
Most likely I'll be selling it when I get back as I got married and am buying another house in Arlington which will have limited parking.
So having two spaces and a bike is going to be hard enough!

Alrighty well if you want let me know some specifics in a pm and I'll ask around some friends. Might know where you can get the one you are looking for with engine issues. I did manage to find one but it's for 15k and is in pretty good condition. How much would you want for the coupe I might have someone interested in it as well

Zen,
15K is to high for me on the vert which is why I'm looking for one with problems for less or a decent driver for around 10.
You're is a sweet ride!
Here is the specs on the 95.
Send me an email so I can send pics, video and dyno.
It was putting out 395rwp :-)
I'll have to check and see what I"m into it. But I would be asking around 17.
Depends as I might be willing to do a partial part out. I haven't really thought about it.

NO!!! youre gonna sell it!? Sell it back to me! LOL.
Can you email me the tourings that you found?

Jon,
I know I don't want to sell it but I've driven it twice in two years and it would be better if it went to a good home that had time to use it. It's too nice to just sit in a garage.
I'm back and forth between Europe and who knows when I'll get the chance to enjoy it.
Better to just have the money to invest for now and build another one ;-)
It's best if you look on the website www.auto24.ee and tell me what ones you are interested in. You can click on english then search in Tallinn, Estonia.
I'm arranging for shipping and it's going to be approximately 1200 dollars to ship the car to Baltimore. Then whatever it would run to get it down to you from there.
Let me know if you want to do it asap as I only have 22 days left here.

I'd love to check out your 98 Euro speck M3 when you and the car are in the area. I am in northern VA, and have a 1998 M3 Convertible, Estoril/Black/5spd. I spent a couple years trying to find this combination, and bought it 2 years ago from a fellow board member.
Thanks,

Chad,
I would love to show you the euro spec vert but unfortunately US customs wouldn't let me import it.
So I completely dissassembled it and I'm shipping it to south Florida for my friend Jon to sell all the pieces.
The only part I didn't ship is the chassis itself.
Everything else will be for sale.
I was sad to part it but I didn't have an option at the time.
I'm not in the E36 market anymore right now.
I just sold my beautiful 1993 red/blk E30 vert and now going to put up it's twin for sale. Except the twin in a 92 and auto. But it has 66K original miles :-)
Once I sell that and the supercharged 95 M3 couple then I'll start looking again. Can't acquire any more until I get rid of the projects I have.
Chris
