Hi

Tis me again asking stupid questions. Firstly I have bought OEM xenon units for the car, but the car didn't have them originally and by law in the UK you need auto levelling to prevent blinding oncoming traffic. Basically I've found the auto levelling unit which sits apparently behind the glovebox. The question is what cabling do I need to fit it? Is there a gap for it to sit in or do I have to make space / fit it where I can.

Secondly will black LWB electric / heated seats from a 98 740il fit in my 2000 735i SWB?

How easy will it be to fit, and if it is difficult how easy is it to just retrofit the heating option into the seats?

Finally bit of an update.

Clear lenses and Mpars plus birch anthracite individual trim has been purchased from the extremely cool Mr Galvin

Mk4 unit and 16:9 board monitor on the way.

M sport wheel arrived in great shape

Inspection 2 service booked with transmission fluid change.

K&N filter arrived

Silver indicator bulbs ordered

When I have fitted the xenons I will decide whether I need better bulbs or not!

Still waiting to hear on the double glazing, which is my next plan along with the heated / possible electric rear seat option.

Some have said these are both relatively easy, others have said not so much.

Well after that essay I shall stop typing and ask for all expert knowledge greatly received

Thanks

The new MOT rules actually state that if fitted the headlight washers and self-levelling has to be operative. The new rule has also been deferred and is not in place, and probably never will be.

I point this out because the self-levelling is more complicated than just a control unit, it also requires the front and rear level sensors that are fitted to the suspension - and the cabling to them!
