Hi
I just got through doing both head gaskets on my 96 740il. The job came out fine, but for some unknown reason the ESC system in on and it's throwing my gear shifting out.
Before the job, the system was engaging and disengaging as is suppose to, but from the moment I first turn on the car after the job was completed, I can't get to turn off.
I have driven the car for about 50 miles now. Just last night I got a O2 code
(bank 1 ) sensor 1. I don't know if one thing has something to do with the other. Does it ?
The job took about 45 day. the car just sat there the whole time.
Since the ESC is on all the time, the tranny isn't shifting normal, it's kind of sluggish on take off. I almost seems as if it starts on 3 or ever 4th gear.
can some tell me how to disengage the system, or how to reset it again or any other suggestions.
