Retrofit oval M5 mirror with dimming?

hi. i'm wondering if its possible to retrofit a dimable rear view mirror. I want the oval e39 m5 mirror : D anyone who has this in a e38? will it fit?

my car is a 96. i have the standard rear view mirror. boooring!

It's been done, I think it is fairly straightforward.
I want to say E39 Prototype did it.

direct fit if you have dimming mirror already. Some additional wiring if you dont. But it fit on no probs.
