View Full Version : AMP Drain Conclusion, live with it?

Well they said my amp was draining the battery the whole time. The replacement alternator I bought was faulty, and the general module's fuses were simply blown. The bill will come to $1,598 for a new alternator and battery replacement. My question is: could I "live dangerously" and pull an amp fuse (if there even is one) at night until I decide what I want to do with it? Or do I have to live with it completely disconnected? It would really suck to have no stereo on my way to Bimmerfest. :(

I don't see why not. As long as it's not the same fuse as the Nav computer...

Hmm which fuse controls the amp itself? I only see "radio" listed and a few different fuses... pretty vague.
