Hi everyone, so I picked up my new car I recently bought and the previous owner gave me some Borbet Type As along with the purchase. Im not sure on how to tell if these are replicas or not? Also I think theyre 16x8.5 in the front and 16x9.5 in the back, 205/40/16s all around. Does anyone know the offset for those? Thanks

Those are great looking wheels. They should say Borbet on them somewhere, and Germany (I think). Ive had two sets, but I go through so many wheels I forgot the exact markings.

Yeah thankyou, I spent some time cleaning them they were very dirty. I figured out that it tells you on the back inside of the rim. For my front I have 16x7.5 and for the rear 16x9. They do say made in Germany and Borbet on the center caps with a hex screw holding it down. Im pretty sure theyre the real thing, im sure I can figure out thier offset from the Borbet website

So I figured out the fronts are 16x7.5 +15 with 205/40/16 and the rear are 16x9 +35 with 205/40/16. Does anyone know if 205/50/16 for the front and 225/50/16 for the rear will fit without rubbing? Its stock ride height.

This is for the E30, right? Shouldnt be an issue, but if you have the car, and the wheels with tires on them...why not just put them on and check??!

And if you want to sell them, let me know.

I know the way the wheels are now fit fine 16x7.5 +15 205/40/16 Front and 16x9 +35 205/40/16 Rear. The rear are stretched quite a bit though and 24.5x9=220.5 then I should be running a 225 in the back. They dont really make 225/40/16 or 225/45/16 tires that are cheap. Theyre all racecar track only. I found that 225/50/16 is a very common size mostly, im wondering now if I run 205/50/16 front and 225/50/16 rear if I will have any issues with rubbing. I just wanna know before I actually buy the tires, if it comes to it ill roll the rear fenders.
