Two options... Give me your thoughts?

Quick/simple

Run 17x7.5 et42 or 18x8.5 et40?
Looking at some new wheels both available in these sizes.

And a few questions....
Both should fit?
Should I just run recommended sizes as they say (225/45/17) or (235/40/18)?
I just want to put them on and be done with no fender rolling or spacers.

Both will fit.
Just go with what you think looks better. Look at some e36's on 18s and 17's and base your judgement on that.

Also i would go with 225/40/18 and not 235.
