Alright, a dilemma.

I currently have Conti Extreme Contact DW's on my e39, size 245/40/18.

It seems that no one can get these tires anymore; they're not even listed on Tire Rack. I REALLY love these tires but obviously they don't last forever, so I need to replace them.

The only tire I can find in that size with the same performance seems to be a BFGoodrich g-force Sport COMP-2. Listed as *NEW* on Tire Rack.

I'm first wondering if these are good tires and second, wondering if there are any other tires comparable to the Conti DW as far as performance, ride and noise. I am in SW Florida so I DO NOT want an all-season tire. It would be a waste.

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

If you can afford them, buy Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I have DW on my 99M3, PSS on my 08 535xi (in 245/40/18) and PS2 on my 08 M3 and the 08 M3 is getting a set of the PSS not year when it is due.

Hankook Ventus V12 ... Hands down the best tire I've ever owned.

The advantage of an all season tire is they are going to wear longer. The DWS that others have recommended has a 50K mileage warranty. In the summer performance category the Kumho LE Sport at 135.00 and a 50.00 mail in rebate would be the best value. The Hankook V12 at 156.00 would also be a good choice. They were ranked highly by Car and Driver in a test they did here. The DW that you have already had is a better handling tire than the other option I listed.
If I can help let me know.
