I am looking to get a set of tires for my M-parallel wheels. The fronts are 18x8 and the rears are 18x9.5. I am thinking of running 245/40/18 in front and 275/35/18 in the rear. Is this too big for the front and rear? Let me know.

I have the same wheels the tires I have are 245/40/18 and back are 265/35/18
the wheels are the same 18x8.5 and rear 18x9.5
what I would do if I am you I owuld do what they do in germany put smaller tires so they go inside
I would put in the back 255 or 245 insted of 265 so it does not lok like baloons what my friend in germany would say
When you put smaller tire size on them they would look more sporty
I made the mistake for puting the original sizes on it now I would put smaller
it would look good
go check some german sites you will see what I mean insted of the tire age being the same as the wheel it would go like triangle
check it

Can I use 245/35/18 or 245/40/18 tires? On 18x9.5 wheels?

275/35/18 is perfect for a 9.5" wide tire as far as coverage goes. Be forewarned, however, that you might have some rubbing.

Is 245/40/18 ok for the rear, or do I go with 245/35/18?

I have 265/35/18 on the back and I can still put 3 people in the back with no problem, but the smaller tire would look better,

don't put 245's on a 9.5" wide rim. i have 18x8.5's, and run 245's all around. run a 265.

if you put 265 on the 9.5 rim its goignt o look normal if you go with smaller tire use the 40 for 245 and you can do 255/35 but if u decide to go for 245 use the 40
stok/recomandet is 245 on a 8.5 and 265 on a 9.5 but u want sport look

on a staggered set up, the norm is to use 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 on rear 9.5" wide rims.

Ok here is the skinny...
The max you are going to fit on the rear without any major issue are the 275/35x18 on 9.5 rears. The rear rim off-set needs to be at least 20-22. The 275/35 x18 are perfect fits for the 9.5 rim. The only issue is the fenders will more than likely have to be rolled especially if your car is lowered and with people in the rear the inner may rub..spacers might be needed.......John over at Bekkers has 10" with 285/35x18 but he is not lowered

Ok, I decided to go with 255/35/18 in the back. Hope this works ok! Also the M-parallel's are from a 7 series. I am pretty sure they fit no modifications, but what about lugs? Will I need a new set or can I use my origionals? Let me know
