Compatable Engines Conversions for E36 318

Hi the haed has recently went in my 1997 E36 318i and i have decided to stick a biger engine in instaed of skimming the head..what type of upgrade would suit the car the most??

well an m50 or m52 works just fine. if you want a little more punch the s50 or s52 from the M3s works well. If you really want to spend some money and make some power you can always throw a chevy small block v8 in there.

M52 since yours is OBDII

With some modifications and lots of hard work you can put just about anything in it. You should put an old vette engine in it that would be sick.
