So I have an 06 325xi

Bought rims and tires from a town fair distributor

but i opted out for a Tire/Wheel sensor, other than the obvious function of the sensor(mechanical tire air pressure reader) what are some other useful attributes to it?

cant decide if I should have them put in for the future summer seasons to come.

They keep the TPM light from being permanently lit on the dash. Without them, you can't turn off the light.

This right here.

Also, on my 535xi, I have to press the 'check' button to see the time, track number, aux/cd/radio, date, cell phone connectivity among a few other things. Otherwise it will constantly be displaying a 'low tire pressure' message where this information is displayed.

Mechanically it won't change anything on your car, but it's helpful to know when your tire pressure is getting low. Especially if you have low profile tires.
