It lasts for about 2-5 seconds, unless I take my foot off the had pedal and push back down. Then it stops. But out only does it when I'm diving at a constant highway speed. I don't know of it's a rear end our fuel pump issue. Any suggestions? I was leaning towards the fuel pump.

Does sound like a fuel pump dosen't it.

Maybe it is loose from its mounting.

When I replaced my fuel pump on 525i it was created buzzing sound momentarily and I also experienced hic ups while accelerating. The symptom was worsened over time and I have to eventually replace the pump which fixed the issue.

probably in the rear end, gear howl or a pinion bearing going south. Check the thing to see if it has oil in it.

I wouldn't even know where to check the oil. But I'm open for a know how.

Look for any obvious brake problems as well.

I wouldn't even know where to check the oil. But I'm open for a know how.

Two plugs on the back of the differential. Always open the top plug first as they are sometimes difficult to break loose. Should you remove the bottom, lose the oil and then get stuck on the fill plug you are in a pickle.
Oil should be to the bottom of the top, fill hole.
