I found a estoril blue m3 on craigslist for a pretty solid price. Just wondering if you guys had any input on what to look for signs that the car has been beat. Here is the link. http://cnj.craigslist.org/pts/3126906750.html

Looks like a nice fixer upper for the price. Obvious shady aspect is the mileage. I'll bet many people aren't responding cause they're trying to jump you for this deal. Many hounds lurking. I'd check it out, drive it and see all maintenance records available. Ask when cooling system was last done, oil changes, all routine stuff. Good luck and pay a mechanic the $100 to check it before you invest. Trust me, best investment you can make.

if you go check it out, at the very least see if you can get a car fax report to prove the milage and see the previous registered mileages. somehow i doubt "the previous owner made a mistake" otherwise car looks in good shape, and follow just what te other poster said.

ight thanks guys I hope its still around haha. I got a buddy to bring with me he learned the hard way after he invested so he can have some input as to signs of abuse. I will def ask the seller for a car fax to make sure milage is correct and if any accidents.

Don't mean to bust any bubbles here, but I suggest that you really look hard, and ask the owner, bout any previous accidents.

This just shows some signs (to me anyway) of a possible drivers side accident. Why?...

-- No driver side photos in listing.
-- Regular mirror on driver side.
-- No window controls on driver side.
-- No interior panel on driver side.
-- Last three items above indicate a completely replaced driver door.

Still looks like a nice car & nice deal for the money, but really inspect & ask about the driver door situation. If it was in an accident & only the driver door was damaged, not that big a deal.

But, if things around the door also look repaired/replaced, be suspicious... especially if the owner claims he knows nothing about an accident. If that happens... walk away. At least I would.

Good Luck
