Hi Guys,
I'm pretty new to the world of BMW. My last car was a '68 MB 250S so I know the German way of thinking is different if not Kaputz! :eyecrazy
Ok so both my wipers and my washer stopped working at the same time. No function on either. Guy I met with a bimmer told me that the module almost never goes in these cars and that a burned out washer motor plays havoc with the wiper system.
I am in Cali so no hurry but get a lot of fog here and would love to get this fixed. All input welcome.
Thanks
Duh it's a 1994 325ic Auto

Most likely that column module, sounds like something went bad with that lever.

Wouldn't the lever fail partially first?

Wiper modules do go bad. Here's how to get at it.

Yeah if I dont get another suggestion I am going to have to go after the module. It is the only thing I can think of that would take both functions out at once.
that link from unofficial BMW is a way better diagram then I am getting out of service manual I have. It shows at least 4 more fasteners and removing the lower part too. Mine does not even mention the knee bolster coming off.
Still hoping someone will have a genius Idea and it will just be something minor.:confused

At least it's not too expensive, and relatively easy to replace. Let us know.

its the module, once you get behind the glove box, it takes 2 minutes to swap out.
