So my RFTs have finally given out. As I've been waiting for them to go, so I could swap them out for non RFTs, I'm happy. I have some curb damage on 2 of the wheels that I'd like to have repaired before the new tires go on. I have 18 inch 108s.
What should I expect to pay for this per wheel? The BMW indy that's going to install my tires, without seeing my wheels, says $100- $150 for refurbishing. Is that too high or about right?
When I asked about a 4 wheel alignment, they suggested I probably would not need one if I hadn't hit anything with the wheels. I was surprised, as A) I'm used to shops wanting to sell you services you do not/may not need, not advise me to save my money, and B) I thought a wheel balance and alignment was needed when new tires were installed. Any thoughts?
