Just picked up this set of wheels off CL. They are stamped as Enkei's 17x8 and 17x10 staggered. Problem is they did not have center caps, and I am going to try to locate a set. If anyone has any idea's please chime in.

I'll also leave a little teaser of when I was test fitting them. Pics are from my phone, but it gives you the jist. I am ordering new tires and prolly some 5-10mm spacers, as the tires on them are 285/40's out back and 245/45's in front. Just a little too much width out back and with nex's the front just rub the spring perch. I'll have to reset my ride height once I get the new tires on as well as it seems I have a lot of rake with this setup. I was thinking some 255/40's and 225/45's would do the trick.

On to the pics!

They are some interesting Enkei's... never seem them before. Has it got Enkei stamped into it somewhere? Give us a close up of where the centrecap goes...

those are like one of a kind rare. Never seen an Enklie wheel like that before.

Looks pretty good on the car.

Thanks guys. Here are some more pics of all the marking I could find. It looks like the wheels are from 97-98 to me. Can't tell much more than size and manufacturer besides that.

I've never seen a max weight marked on a wheel. Is that per wheel, or the whole car?

You can forget finding center caps unless these happen to be common for some other make of car I'm not familiar with. I've never seen anything like these ever.

Really strange wheels. I can't decide if I like them or not. Nice find.

I like them, just because they are a little strange, but not too strange. Can't say I've ever seen them either.

How did you know they would even fit ?

I can't decide if I like them or not also.

Those are called Enkei Uglies from the Hideous Line.

Interesting. if it wasn't for the nice lips I'd classify as "ghey"... the Japanese do have some interesting taste in wheel design. They look like snowflakes... hopefully you can find some caps. Nice find.

Look like they should belong to a Toyota.

Yup, saved (mostly) by the lip.

interesting. not sure they belong on an e34 but cool find nonetheless. maybe contact enkei directly and see if they can give you info on them. google isnt showing me anything.

Lol, basically in the same boat as most of you on the look. I kinda dig them because of the uniqueness, but not completely sold on the looks otherwise. On the car though they look pretty cool, and it's a big plus knowing I won't see another e34 rolling on them, nevermind a Touring. As far as fit, the listed they were from a BMW so I figured why not take a look. Offsets seemed close when I got there, so I just threw a pair on to see.

I'll e-mail Enkei for some more info. I wasn't able to dig up anything using google either :(

If you painted the little ribs black so it just looks like a 5 spoke wheel, they might be marginally cool.

Those would look sweet on my X3. The X5 had a similar wheel with that angular snowflake thing going. clicked like on facepage...

I am a serious wheel whore and I've never seen those before....Very cool. They look like they could be welded 2 piece.

Yeah, if they didn't have the little extra accents there at the end of the spoke, then I think they would be a good looking wheel. I wonder if those details are structural...have them removed.

I don't mind them on the E34. They looked awful till you showed us with them on.

Very nice!

Man, SO jealous. I think those are VERY cool. Granted, i grew up on mazdas and they had soccer ball look'n wheels on the MPV(and, i like those). Those wheels are one hell of a score. I think they'd look silly on anything with rounder lines, but an E34 they look great on IMO. I like mazdas so maybe i just don't have taste in aesthetics

i like em.

I remember having seen them, years ago in one of the tuner mags, Super street probably, anyone have any old copes from 99-2000 and can look in the ads for wheels direct or one of the other places to see if you can get a name? I can't find them in wheelspecs.com under enkei, but that could be b/c they were made BY ENKEI but sold by/under someone else (much like the ACS type 1s were made by ?ronal? enkei?)... enkei used to make some of rikens wheels back then, ozracing, possibly TSW and other brands too.

I do remember them though.

at least they weren't these old enkeis

aftermarket wheels, especially japanese wheels alloys have it stamped... and it is per wheel.

are these 5x120, or the 5x4.75?

I just can't seem to come up with the name despite browsing for hours and racking my brain.

Mazda's designed some of the best looking cars to come out of Japan, period.

Granted, not recently, but still...

FD?? FB? Eunos Cosmo? 2nd-gen MX-6? 929?

Not my jack, was borrowing it. I've got a low profi in my own garage. And funny you say that, because it did nearly kill me!

Was a mazda guy in my own youth. Maybe that's what drew me to them? :)

I appreciate the effort. They aren 't stamped one way or the other for bolt pattern, but the center bore is BMW so I'd guess the bolt pattern would be as well.

I've seen these as well.

I can't remember where or on what car.

My gut says OEM Wheel option for the Older and smaller Dakota RT shelby model or something morderately american muscle.

Looking at the design I'd say Mustang, Thunderbird SC, Maybe a light performance truck. I even thought about the wheel option for the mitsu/dodge Star/Quest.

Either why They look nice. I agree forget about trying to replace the caps. These have been NLA for at least a decade.

To add to rick's idea of enkei making wheels under different names try:

KMC
MHT
AXIS
Fittipaldi
MSW
MODA

Nevermind I'm an idiot.

The name of the wheel is a enkei 107 model
They are for a rear wheel car. Possibly a mustang variant after the body style change.
So look to most rear wheel drive performance cars built in the late 90s

The question is if they were offered aftermarket or a oem variation.

To the OP, its funny you mention mazdas. In fact theres a few members on this forum that actively post (jester) that have E34's and mazdas. Maybe its some weird coincidence, or maybe we really DO have good taste in cars and all of my friends are wrong. lol

I appreciate the insight but the center bore is bmw. If they were oem for another make wouldn't that not match a BMW? Doubt they are an oem.

P.s. no pokemon @#$/ here.

Well......... not really.

I've seen a few chevys with bmw wheels on them and vise versa.

ie. google rondell 58s you'll see what I mean.

But that's not the issue.

Have you heard back from Enkei?

I remember seeing those wheels some years back.

FWIW when I saw them they weren't on a Bmw. I'm just trying to remember if it was a truck, sedan, or sports car of sorts. (First sign of getting old you forget schit)

All that aside I like them. They're different and I think they look good as is on your touring. They aren't typical choice of BMW wheels.

Then again I'm the type of guy who would put big wide dick cepek tires on a x6m with brush guards, a roof carrier, Spare wheel carrier rack in the rear and throw a row of Piaa or KC lights across the brush guard and the carrier. But thats just me :D

Pokemon?!? Er..OK I know I'm getting old

Camaro and s-10 wheels fit BMWs and visa-versa

I think there are a couple other chevrolets that fit.
