Catalytic Converter

So Recently after driving hard when I get out of the car I occasionally get a rotten egg smell, which I assuming would be the cat. Its not that bad now but I know as it gets worse I will have to replace it. I was think about one of these

The thing is that these directly replace the midsection, but they dont seem to have resonators. I have heard that removing the resonators makes the car sound too raspy, is this the case? Also any general advice to give for replacing cats? thanks in advance.

If you have stock exhaust, I PROMISE you, you will not hear a difference with no resonators. I had my cats removed, replaced with straight pipe and there was absolutely no sound difference with the stock muffler.

Change gas and see if smell goes away.

I first noticed the smell a couple weeks ago and I just got new gas and it came up again

new gas from the same gas station? If so, try switching stations where you fill up (meaning if you normally go to exxon, go to shell or something). It could be a bad batch of gas or something. NOT TO START A GAS DEBATE, but I used to use whatever was cheapest, and occasionally got the rotten egg smell. I use sunoco 93 octane now and haven't had any issues to my knowledge.

Yea it was a different station and I do always run premium so I don't think it is the gas

Why not try taking off the midpipe and check to see if there is any rust or anything that comes out when you stand the pipes up. If there is alot your cats internals are probably in pieces.
