Do I have an E30 or an E36?

Hi there,
I have a 1991 325ic and in dtechnical documentation and at auto parts i see it referenced as an E30 and some times as an E36. some auto parts stores will not list teh 325ic for 1991, they will list teh 325i or 325is or 325ix.
how do i find out what model i have?

A -91 convertible is an E30, so you should be able to look up parts for a -90 325i/is.
