Does anyone in the US know what it takes to do this? Parts list? Any machine work required?

You can try James aka "FLOSS". He rebuilds wheels to any spec you want. His number is 310-999foursixsixfour. Tell him nicco sent you. Also, you can try wheelflip.com or tunershop.com

Yes, of course there is machine work required to make a rear mounted 2-piece wheel face work with sandwhich mounted 3-piece wheels. Wokke does conversions for the style 5's, but why not do BBS RS versions for cheaper? And for style 19, they did make a Nardi BBS 3-piece wheel in 1992, that used BBS RS parts, and was basically the same design as the style 19.

Thanks for the idea to do it, I love the style 19 face... but can't find the nardi wheel. I've never even heard of them...

I have a set I am about to refinish with wider lips, here's a quick pic of the front before i took them apart.

How are you putting wider lips on them? Wokke is in germany and it would cost me a small fortune getting them done by him.

Unlike the style 19, these are 3-piece and use RS parts.

Oh wow now I see they look just like them... Nice where did you score a set of those?

There are sets out there, but not too many left. I always keep an eye out at the wheel classifieds on a few forums, and have come across these a few times over the last couple years, but finally bought a set myself this summer.

So theres no way I could sandwhich a style 19 center between a bbs rs barel and lips?

Its not that easy, or else a lot of people would be machining the edge off the rear of a style 5 face and building sets with RS parts.

You'll have to cut the outter lip off and have the mating surface turned down flat, have the back side of the wheel face to have a relief for the back barrel.

Then you'll need to have custom front lips made. Here are the dimensions you'll give them.
http://www.titanium-touch.de/bilder/ringdaten_shop.jpg

ZD = 356mm
LK = 372mm
RG = 17"
AB = 34 (number of bolt holes)
RB = as wide you want

I priced one place out at $1200 for 4 lips. I got those dimensions from a guy that has actually converted his Style 5/19's into 3 pieces.

Then you'll need new hardware, most likely from BBS RS since your old stuff will be too short.

If you bought the wheels cheap and have a hook up at a machine shop it really doesnt seem TOO bad for a set of 3 piece wheels.

It's funny how things have come full circle... I purchased Badwayz' set of BBS Nardi splits. I re-finished them and used flat caps:eek:.
