Hello bimmer friends, just wondering if the arms coming off the steering column, ie- cruise control,turn signal, wiper control,etc. with headlights on should these be lit up?

yes, you probably should check the wiring all the way from the column down to the undersea area, then back up thru the firewall to under hood fusebox.

Especially test the yellow one with a test light.
