I haven't posted in awhile but there is alot about to be done to the old lady and more that has been done to her.
What's been done:
♦I just powder coated the whole new front end I got and made it greasable by adding in zerks.
♦Lowered her on Joe's old stuff. So Eibachs with a coil cut off and Billie hd's.
♦clear corner lights
♦ An exhaust that I like and was only $40 since I can weld :cool
What's in the process:
♦ I got e30 sport seats that I love to death and am going to get re-done
♦ Going to do the diy coil overs but they will look super clean
♦ Going to go Matte white here in a few months
♦ Now the big one and the one I need help with... The M52 swap..
M52 story: I was going to go pull an M52 I found at the Junk yard a couple months ago but with the passing of my friend Cam I just couldn't really function for a few weeks.. But a couple weeks ago the friends and I went and pulled the m52 out of the jy. I have torn it all apart and now am just getting ready to start the powdering and re-assembly of the monster. I am going from non vanos to vanos m52 Here is where I need your help and opinions:
NEEDED:
413 red ecu auto
vanos wiring harness
Tu trigger wheel or will the m44 sensor thing work???

rubber coolant"spider" hose
knock sensors
coolant sensors
cam reference sensor
crank sensor
HFM
♠Thinking of getting some raceland headers too..
One more piston..
*anything else?
OPINIONS:
♣should I get s52 cams m54b30 cams (I have a metal lathe so the 5 mm is no big deal) Or cam re-grinds and if so what specs? I want power all the way through, not just upper end.
♣Is the m44 sensor the way to go?
♣CAN I USE THE M52 OIL FILTER HOUSING and timing cover?? if not please explain why
♣ should I stick with the single valve spring or try to put in the double valve spring setup (I'm thinking for when I boost I heard that double spring is better but that's not any time soon)
♣Anything else I should address?
