Interesting M5 for sale on ebay. Aside from the wheels being mounted wrong what other glaring problem do you see? 110912058461 if the link doesn't work.

Post the item number. If you are logged in and link the page, nothing pops up.

That's obvious but the real problem is a little less so.

Those tails are horrible.
I didnt know the rear bread box was around in 92. Thought it was 91 only. Door panels look wrong.

Close enough. Someone has swapped the seats from an early 91 with the breadbox back seat. Not even the same color as the door panels and carpet. Owner says he didn't know. Probably done early when it had the accident to replace spilled blood on the leather.

Hey! i win. Sorta. Did you find details on the accident?
I love the "the 92 is the rarest of M5's". Great line except 1993 cars are for cars sold actually in the states. Outside the states that car is nothing.
edit: went back and looked again, front console is different from the rear bits. Kinda looks like black but the sun shining on it make it different. That ad is a sham. Its not actually the only one with that color combo originally, just now its been half swapped.

310hp? Really? I love the individual throttle bodies. So gangster.

Hmm. I'm not sure what to think about that car.
It seems like it should be in better condition considering it only has 70k miles. The carbon fiber pillar trim and tail lights likely reveal a lot about the owner.
I think it is worth saving and driving, but if I was a prospective buyer, I'd likely look elsewhere.

There were less '92 cars made for the US than '93. He is correct.
Taken from bmwmregistry.com faq.
How many examples of the North American E34 M5 were produced for each model year?
Of the 1,678 examples of the E34 M5 produced for North America (1,485 for the USA and 193 for Canada), the following are the production totals for each of the three model years:
1991: 1,296*
1992: 121
1993: 261
*NOTE: Though technically 1991 models, E34 M5s built for North America before 9/90 were actually built to 1990 specification. These comprise 508 of the 1,296 1991 models produced.

'91 and '92 cars don't have all the goodies '93 cars have though. :)

I would take my breadbox over your sport mirrors and door handles.
GLOVES ARE OFF, BRO.
I am somewhat local to the car. If anyone is seriously interested in it I will try and find the time to swing out and check it out.
It has 9 days left though. I wonder how high it will go.

Considering it is stated it was never a daily driver...it looks really sad for its mileage. Enthusiast owned and maintained....I don't think so.

I believe I may have driven this car late last summer. I remember being pretty excited to find a low mileage M5 close by so I drove to Gaithersburg, MD to check it out. I found the listing on Roadfly. The guy selling it was the manager of a auto body shop which is where the car was located. He was not the owner of the vehicle and said he was trying to help the owner ( a customer) out by brokering the sale. It was not an impressive car at first sight and it went downhill from there. I remember the interior being in bad shape for such a low mileage car, and it drove poorly. Asking price was $15,000 but the guy said he could drop it to $12,000 right on the spot. I ran a CarFax on it and discovered it had a salvage title issued in 1995. I figured it must have been really hit hard to have lost enough value in two years to be eligible for a salvage title. When I asked the seller about it he said he knew nothing about the salvage title because was just selling it for a friend/customer. I'm pretty sure this was the car because I distinctly remember the carbon fiber pillar trim and wondering who could trash up such a great car with that after market crap!

I also have wood trim. :D
In all seriousness, I love the breadbox and will probably look for a breadbox back seat for my car. Unfortunately it is only on early cars (my '91 didn't have it :(). I love your color combo. I was talking with my father about how my ideal color combo would be Macau on dove grey. I'm quite happy with the '93 though and Lagoon Green. :buttrock
He did lie about the interior though. Just ran the DCS and it came back as having Black interior originaly. Looks like someone decided to change it up.

Paul,
You have to quit posting threads like this. Every time I see your name and M5 for sale I think your son is selling the Calypso car. Even though I know his is a 93.
