would 235/45/17 fr & 255/40/17 r work?

Im getting a good deal on goodyear eagle f1s in 235/45/17 and 255/40/17, would these work on my staggered doublespoke IIs on my 97 m3?

You can run those sizes but on the 17 inch you are suppose to run 235/40/17. If you run 235/45/17, the diameter of the front tires will be larger than your rear tires. The fronts are about .3 taller than your rears. The overall diameter of the rear is 25, which is perfect compared to 225/45/17.

For the staggered setup on OEM, I beleve they went 225.45.17 and on the 95 m3s they went 235/40/17 all around.
