Hey everyone, I've been doing some research and wanted to get a more specific opinion from everyone regarding the 18 vs. 19 inch black wheel for an alpine white 2006 325i.

Currently I have the stock 16" rims that are just not cutting it. I'd like to step up to a larger rim but more specifically, a black one.

I've found a local wheel distributor that has black 18 and 19 inch rims.

I know the pros of going with a smaller diameter wheel, but my concern is that the black wheel will not fill out the wheel well enough to look good. I also know that going with a larger wheel decreases ride quality and performance. Some say that the 19" wheel outsizes the small brake calipers of the stock 3-series.

What do you guys think?

I went with an anthracite (like metallic black) on my AW 335i, 19", CSL style, 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. Looks fantastic in more opinions than my own. Unfortunately I don't remember the offset. Also the 335 has bigger brakes and calipers so that looks good as well. Fills out the wheelwells and is nearly flush with the body front and rear. Tasteful badassedness.

I say go with the 18 inch rims. They'll weigh less, and tires will be significantly cheaper. They'll fill up the well just fine!
