Power steering pump play

I noticed some play in my ps pump. car is euro e36 m3.
It can be moved quite much in\out.
Is there anyway to rebuild these?
I have never opened a ps pump, so I dont know whats causing the play...

OH I'm thinking steering, not the actual pump itself! My mistake! I can't help you there sir! Sorry! Pumps aren't too expensive for these are they? Does it actually work alright?

just curious if it could be rebuilt to save some $$
it works fine, but started squeeling last time I drove the car.
