Hey guys. Anyone thinking of getting their injectors cleaned/rebuilt should check out forum member Dano670. He is the best. Not only is he cheaper than anyone else by quite a bit but his service is unbeatable. I took my injectors out of my car while I'm doing some work on it. Sent them to him and told him I was really hoping to get the car back on the road in a few days. He worked overtime to get my injectors done and shipped before the weekend so I could meet my deadline. He found 2 injectors that were not up to par so he replaced them. Now I have a complete "flow matched" set that are basically like new. Ive attached a copy of the report he sent me so you can see what you get.
It only takes about 10 minutes to remove your injectors. Its really worth getting them done. I found all 6 pintels were damaged.
Here is the link where I found out about him. He details his rates and what he does. This guy deserves your business.

My current #17 green injectors are from Dano670 as well, I couldn't be happier. My engine has a big smiley face on it now :)

What was the change in performance/fuel economy like flyfish? Even including shipping it might be cheaper to send them over to dano than get it done down here.

I won't be able to give an accurate review. My car is in pieces right now as I finish up my tranny swap. So going from an auto to a 5 speed changes things a bit. My driving style will be different too. I know what I used to get out of my 95 325is and those injectors had about the same mileage on them. Just looking at his report I have to say I probably wont see much of a change. My car always started good and ran strong but those injectors definately needed some fine tuning as you can see from the report. 3% flow difference isnt huge but its enough for me to justify the cost. At 150k I am going through and replacing/fixing a ton of stuff so I never have to worry about them again. Rear subframe, motor mounts, steering rack, drive shaft and the list goes on and on.

Ah ok. Good luck with the swap! I love how so many of us will replace stuff "just in case". Its like the cooling problems of our cars leads to the mentality of fixing everything within our means, given the chance.

It's not just in case for me. All 4 subframe bushings were toast. Both rear trailing arm bushings were torn. Both rear outer ball joints were as loose as a 17mm wrench in a 10mm bolt. One coil spring was broken and I'm replacing my dif as part of my auto/5speed swap. At 150k miles I'm doing new motor mounts and my steering rack leaks.
If youhad seen those injectors you'd send them out too justlike me

Reading this thread over again 2 years later. I still have that car. I still love driving it. So glad I did the 5 speed swap. This car is very typical of the e36s we see for sale. 150,000 miles and a ton of deferred maint. People ask us how reliable e36s are. The best answer I can give is once you take care of all the deferred maintenance they are extremely reliable. The tough part is getting through all those repairs. Since I replaced all the suspension parts and replaced the entire cooling system and fixed up the interior I haven't done much except oil changes in the last 2 years. My 20 year old canvas top needs replacing and I'm due for some new paint but that's all.
Not it bad in my book
