Picked her up on Monday as part of Euro Delivery and couldn't be happier with the car :redspot It's a 328i sport/8at with premium, tech, cold weather and xenons, among other things I probably can't remember right now.

My wife driving on the A9 on the way to visit her mom in Berlin, me in the passenger seat, photo taken by my stepdaughter. We were doing about 130kph, but the car cruised great at 160-170 kph on the unlimited sections. Can't wait to finish breaking her in.

All I can say is, after four days with the car - it's fantastic. Anyone on the fence, do it. Can't wait to get her back to the states, and maybe take it on the autox course or H2R :D

She is a beauty. Personally I am terrified of white leather.

Basically, it says the Ring was closed for tourist laps due to weather, so I didn't get to drive it :( I don't blame them though, you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you.
But while I was moping around, we noticed a couple of guys checking out our F30! Turns out they were with Exagon, a French company, who had brought out a couple of prototype electric supercars to test on the ring. They gave us the full tour on the condition we didn't take pics inside the tent. The cars looked great, had 420hp and were said to go from 0-62 in 3.5s with a top speed in excess of 280kph. With the batteries low and centered, they're reported to have great handling too. They were also the first electric cars I've seen with gearboxes. Once they go into production expected cost is e330,000.

I snapped some other cars we saw in Nurburg and Berlin also:

My wife agrees we should've gotten these in the states. Just past the gate was the front straight, you couldn't even see it from here:

Thanks for sharing! Personally, I like the wheels. It looks like you went with the Sport Line, because of the wheels and shadowline trim.
Enjoy!

No, new M5.
Great looking car! Takes me back to when we did ED on our 530i in 2001 -- what a wonderful experience. (I'm on this board because we currently have an F30 service loaner, and I really like the car). Hardest thing was staying within break-in protocol on the autobahn. I'm sure you enjoyed every minute of it. I hope to do it again someday.

Congrats on the purchase, and thanks for those great pics. I'm seriously thinking of getting one next year (after my warranty runs out) very close to your configuration.
How does Euro delivery work out price wise? Not counting travel costs, is it cheaper, the same or more than buying at a local dealer? Does BMW pay for the delivery to the states, or do you just save the "Destination charge" and then you're on your own?

Thanks for the replies everyone, it was a great trip and my wife loves the car!

The car was a bit cheaper than buying it at MSRP, as we saved 7% off the base price (not including options) and the dealership gave us an additional discount. You could probably do a bit better now (we saved approximately $3000 off sticker), but I felt the price was fair since we ordered a brand new model before they even arrived in the showroom (they had demonstrators but no retail units yet). You do still have to pay the destination charge but BMW covers all the costs of shipping the vehicle stateside, and it still goes through its normal inspection processes.
We did save quite a bit of money on our travel costs, as BMW was offering a 2 for 1 deal on Lufthansa tickets at the time we placed our order. Getting to keep the cool Euro temp plates was a bonus :)

How long did it take from when you dropped it off till picked up at the dealer state side?
