from an e34 into an e32?

I keep coming across e34 part outs with EDC but very rarely come across an e32 part out with EDC.

I know some people with 'regular' suspension from an e34 have successfully swapped them into an e32. Just wondering if the EDC would be the same - more so if they physically fit than functionally spec'd the same.

Being that the e32 and e34 share similar components. I'd guess it would work. Ask Shogun.

They should be interchangeable.

Confirm with a RFI over at the www.m5board.com E34 section.

He asked me already and I told him I do not know, never tried, and he should aks the experts on the forum and here he is ;)

I assume, but do not know for sure. it would fit.

But I have a question: are we talking about EDC I or EDC III ?
.
EDC III is much more complicated, but also diagnosable.

EDC I on E32 till 12/1989, E34
EDC II never used on E34 and E32, but on Coupe E24 6 series
EDC III E31, E32 from 01/1990, E34 M5

If I understand that correct, the 'normal' E34 only had EDC I
but the E34 M5 had EDC III (??)
