So I have been getting a whistle under medium acceleration (around 2.3k RPM's) which is obviously an intake leak. Today I started digging into my engine and when I took off the ICV valve I think it's called there was fresh oil around the gasket and I have been burning quite a bit of oil lately. I was planning on replacing the intake manifold gaskets even though I replaced them and the rear manifold cover (CCV) and all the intake gaskets about 10k miles ago. Perhaps I got a fault intake manifold cover? I am doubting it is any internal engine components from the threads I have read. I am between 207k and 208k miles. Any ideas? Should I try to replace the rear intake manifold cover again? I did use genuine BMW parts.
