I brought some after market tail lights with a different male end than the stock tail light. Do I have to buy an adapter piece and splice the wires from the harness? Searched but I couldnt find help for this particular case

Ran into a site a while back that sold the plugs to wire up, can't remember at the moment but I'm also looking for this.

Yea because until then Im going to be out of a tail light... I messed up the OEM one pretty bad. I know some Germans out here might have the piece or where to get one from

One would think sourcing an e39 taillight in not hard in Germany. Have you checked Shindler's List? (I'm guessing that would be German's Craigslist).

You already have a 2003, which means you have the facelift tails. Look up internet classifieds for e39 partouts or check local junkyards. If I knew German I would find you a taillight in your area in a heartbeat. Don't go aftermarket, especially on a facelifted car.
