View Full Version : Bolting style 5's back together...

so im re-finishing my style 5's and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a Special way your supposed to bolt them back together? or have a suggestion on bolting them together...

When I refinished mine I put blue thread locker on then bolted them to 15 pounds in a star pattern then to 25 pounds at the end.

Yep, star pattern. I just wrenched them down until the bolts were on the lip, then torqued them to 25.

Q, do the bolts need replacing? I've heard they're one time use, that seems silly tho.

Re torque, Star pattern in 3 stages, first stage being hand tight (5-8ftlb) and then 15 and then 25.

no, you can reuse. otherwise everyone would be spending 250$ everytime they take the wheels apart.

Does anyone know if wide rims are available for style 5s? For a staggered look? sorry to hijack.

Yup....I have 17x9 for rears... :D theres also 17x7 for the front you can get off a 3 series..
