Replaced blown motor with a low mileage one. Went to start it and after a few seconds the starter or at least it sounded like the starter starts spinning. Immediately disconnected the battery. Found the auto trans shifter is now stuck in position as well. Suggestions? Can someone post pics of the starter wiring? Car is a 95 325i
Nothing like a mistake, starter was wired incorrectly had a power going to the post with the ground strap to the larger half of starter. What damage could this cause? Starter activated a few seconds after the battery was connected. Starter test ok but the car only clicks over. Also the automatic trans shifter is stuck in park.
